Telephone Box, South Kensington

Limited Edition Print
£35.00 including tax and shipping within the UK.
The Royal Fine Arts Commission and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) worked together to find an architect who would design the infamous red telephone box. In 1924, Sir Giles Gilbert Scott was chosen. Scott also designed Liverpool Cathedral and Battersea Power Station. My illustration of the ‘K2’ telephone box is drawn from the one situated in Exhibition Road, South Kensington. Hand drawn Pen & Ink with Graphite rendering.
